SA: Woman dies when car hits tree
A 49-year-old woman died this morning when her car hit a tree in South Australia's southeast.
A police spokesman says the woman died at Kongorong, near Mt Gambier, about 7.30am (CST).
A 17-year-old female passenger was taken to Mt Gambier Hospital with serious injuries.
Both the woman and the girl were from the southeast.
The state's road toll now stands at 39, one less than at the same time last year.
